Haitian Iapetus II SeriesMULTI-MATERIAL INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE


At present, Haitian offers the Haitian Iapetus multi-color molding machines in the following variations. Each letter indicates a machine with specified function.For example,"b" stands for a dual-color rotary table machine with wide mold platen. To produce different kinds of dual color products, customers can select corresponding machine.

Working principled
Reliable clamping unit

The 5-point double toggle system optimized using finite element analysis.

Injection Unit 1 and 2 work in parallel. Part A (semi finished article) injection is finished, then the mold open , and the table rotates+180°. After the mold is closed again, Both part A and part B
injection will be finished at the same time, then the mold opens, Part A+B(finished part) is ejected ,and the table rotates -180°, The process always repeats again as above.

The IA/m co-injection machines has the 2nd injection unit mounted at non-operation side of clamping unit, without turntable and rotating shaft.

Can be used for single or two component/color molding.
Independent pump control for each injection unit to reduce energy consumption.

Rotating-shaft multi-color machine


The IA/p ( rotating shaft multi-color machine) has been developed for applications requiring multi cavity two color/component molding.
The cavities are rotated using the centre core mechanism for increased effeciency and flexible mold design.

Injection unit 1 and 2 can work parallel Parts (material A and B) are ejected, rotating-shaft turns 180°, mold close, finish injection of two materials at the same time, mold open, rotating-shaft (mold core+parts) turns 180° in positive and negative directions.

Precision tolerance comparison

Using the patented servo motor closed loop control system, the machine produces parts with higher precison and lower energy compared to traditional hydraulic systems.

The system is equipped with system pressure sensor and motor feedback rotation encoder, to provide accurate flow and pressure control to all machine movements. The closed loop control ensure repeatable and consistant molding control for higher precision and reduced energy consumption.

Working principled
Relative Data for Matching Machine and Mold

L1 represents the minimum distance that the nozzle top of side injection unit can reach

L2 represents the distance from nozzle center of side injection to installing flat of fixed platen, i.e. the distance from mold filling gate center on side of mold to installing flat of fixed paten.

L3 represents the overall stroke, which needs adjustment according to different side injection unit.

An assistant locating hole/key slot on the fixed platen is necessary for mold positioning, avoiding the mold movement during side injection.
